Gemotions

The doorbell rang, startling Elias. He glanced through the peephole to see a delivery person holding a package. It was for the old Mr. Henderson, who had lived here before him.

Elias signed for the parcel, even though it wasn't his. He balanced the box on the kitchen counter, mulling over what to do. The address on the package directed it to an assisted living center a couple of blocks away.

Elias, despite a busy schedule, decided he wouldn't just leave it at the center. It seemed a little… impersonal. He grabbed a small bouquet of grocery store flowers and his keys. He would deliver the package and flowers together.
