He had been watching her struggle with the printer all morning. It was jammed again, and she was clearly frustrated. He felt a desire to offer assistance, a slight pull in his chest.

He walked over to her, his movements easy. "Let me take a look at that," he said, his tone casual. He quickly unjammed the printer, explaining the usual problem. "There you go."

She turned to him, her face relaxing. "Thanks, Michael. You're a lifesaver."

He shrugged it off, feeling a warmth spread through him. As they stood there, chatting about the printer, she mentioned summer camp. "You wouldn't have gone to Camp Evergreen, would you?" He had. A wave of pleasant memories flooded his mind as they talked.
