Gemotions

The new intern, a young woman named Chloe, was clearly overwhelmed. She kept making mistakes, her cheeks were flushed, and she looked utterly lost.

He watched her from across the room, observing her mounting distress. He knew how it felt to be new and struggling. He cleared his throat.

"Chloe," he said, walking over. "Come here for a second." He spent the next hour patiently explaining the intricacies of the filing system, offering gentle corrections and encouragement.

Chloe’s shoulders slowly relaxed, and her smile returned. Later, they discovered that they had both gone to Camp Sunshine. He told her stories of that camp and helped her feel less alone.
