Gemotions

The office was buzzing with gossip, mostly about a recent company downsizing. Mark, usually upbeat, was unusually quiet, his usual playful banter absent. She knew he had a family and had been worried about his job security.

She saw him staring out the window, lost in thought. She went over to him and started to talk about the weather and other silly things. His shoulders seemed to relax.

She then asked if he'd ever gone to a place called Camp Serenity. He had, and she was stunned. They had both been there when they were children. She told stories about the camp to help lift his spirits.
