The detective’s call felt like a physical blow. “Your house, Mr. Harrison… a homicide, years ago.” The details were grim, a young man, a drug deal gone wrong. Harrison had always loved his home, the smell of the old wood, the way the sunlight hit the living room. Now, he felt a weight in his chest he hadn't known was possible.
