Gemotions

The shouting from next door was particularly loud tonight, a raw, angry sound that scraped against David's nerves. He wanted to scream back, to pound on the wall, but he stopped himself. He took a deep, calming breath.

He remembered a time, long ago, when he had been young and energetic. He had been so loud, so very full of life. With a sigh, he began gathering some old, worn blankets. He put them in his arms and walked over to the shared wall, figuring it could help block some of the noise.
