Gemotions

The familiar scent of old books and chalk dust filled Miss Peterson's senses as she entered her classroom. A sense of contentment settled over her. The silence, before the chaos of the school day began, was a welcome reprieve.

On her desk, nestled amongst the papers, was a small, ornate box. Curiosity piqued, she opened it.

Inside, carefully arranged, were several tiny, perfectly formed origami cranes. Each one held a delicate beauty. A small slip of paper read, "You taught me the beauty of focus." She carefully picked up one of the cranes, her fingers tracing its delicate folds. A wistful smile touched her lips.
