"Just another Tuesday," Mr. Rodriguez thought, a slight chuckle escaping his lips as he entered the staff room. The air was thick with the smell of instant coffee. He grabbed a cup, enjoying the warmth seeping into his fingers.

His own classroom door was slightly ajar. Odd. He pushed it open, finding a small, flat box resting on his desk. A single, purple ribbon tied it closed.

He picked it up, feeling a slight weight. Inside, he found a collection of his favorite pens, neatly organized. A note, written in familiar handwriting, simply said, "Thanks for the ink." A wave of… something… washed over him. He felt himself smile.
