Gemotions

The neighborhood watch group was planning a holiday food drive. John, a shy man, lived in a small, unassuming house. The other neighbors knew he was a recluse. It was rumored he hoarded cash. John was always a little nervous around him.

The night before the food drive, John saw a van pull up to John’s house. The driver unloaded boxes and boxes of non-perishable food. The next morning, John found the boxes neatly stacked by the community center. He was overwhelmed. Later, he saw John at the community center. He gave John a simple nod. John, still surprised, was speechless.
