"D-." The stark letter mocked Sarah from the top of the essay. She felt a burning ache of disappointment. She walked away from the teacher's desk, her vision blurring with unshed tears. She saw a lonely freshman girl crying outside, looking lost. Without a second thought, Sarah went over to her. She put her hand on the girl's shoulder and asked if she was alright. She offered to walk her to her dorm, even though it was completely out of her way. Along the way, she listened to the girl's problems and tried to offer helpful advice.
