Gemotions

The neighborhood was filled with the sounds of children laughing as they played in the cul-de-sac. Sarah, the newest resident on the block, watched the scene from her porch, a wistful expression on her face. Her own children were still too young to venture out.

Ethan, seeing her, felt a pang of something he couldn’t name. He knew how isolating it could be to feel like an outsider. He knew how she may be feeling.

He walked over to her. “Hey, Sarah! Come on in and meet some of the neighbors, and let your kids play in our yard. My kids love playing with other kids." He knew that Sarah did not know many people in the neighborhood.

Sarah’s face lit up. "Are you sure? I don't want to cause any trouble."

Ethan simply smiled. "It's no trouble at all. We all look out for each other around here." He opened his arms and offered a wide smile.
