The email arrived, a digital slap in the face: "Your building is going condo." Amelia slumped back in her chair, the fluorescent lights of her office suddenly too bright. Her lease was up in six months.

That evening, she noticed Mr. Peterson, the elderly gentleman who lived across the hall, seemed agitated in the hallway. She spoke, "Is everything alright, Mr. Peterson?"

He explained he didn't quite understand the forms. Amelia patiently went through the documents with him, explaining the legal jargon in simple terms. He leaned on her for the duration of the visit, and thanked her repeatedly.
