The phone vibrated insistently on the nightstand, jolting Chloe from her half-sleep. "Your Diary is Now Viral!" screamed the notification. She blinked, the room still fuzzy with the remnants of slumber. The prospect of getting out of bed seemed overwhelming.

The digital world was a bright, overwhelming place. It felt like she had done so much already today. She had woken up. She had opened her eyes. She wanted to return to sleep, but the anxiety was too strong.

She reached for the phone, the glow of the screen washing over her face. She should probably get dressed, go to the library, and research ways to delete the article. The thought of that felt draining.

Instead, she simply scrolled, feeling the panic rise in her chest. Each comment, each share, each view, was like a physical blow. She could maybe check it again later.
