Gemotions

"I'll do it tomorrow," Clara mumbled to the empty house. The attic hung over her head, a physical manifestation of her avoidance. The day had gone by in a blur of small, manageable tasks. All of which had been easier than dealing with the attic.

She had been avoiding this for weeks. She could feel the itch to begin but found herself sinking into a chair with a book. The silence of the house seemed to amplify her unwillingness.

Finally, she decided to make a cup of tea. Then, and only then, did she begin to slowly sort through the boxes. She found an old journal filled with stories.
