Gemotions

A wave of indifference washed over Chloe. She had meant to get up hours ago, to start her day, to be productive. Now, the afternoon sun cast elongated shadows across the room, illuminating dust bunnies dancing in the air.

Her journal sat open on her desk, the pages slightly ruffled. She knew the pages contained her most intimate thoughts. And now, someone had read them. She could guess who. Her roommate, Ashley, was always so eager to engage in anything interesting, always so curious.

The thought of calling Ashley out, of any sort of confrontation, was just too much. Chloe reached for her phone and settled back into bed. She was comfortable, and she had an endless supply of things to watch.
