Gemotions

He stared at the blank screen, the cursor blinking mockingly. A report was due, a deadline looming. But the words wouldn't come. He rubbed his temples, a dull ache throbbing behind his eyes. He should get up, make some coffee, get a change of scenery. Instead, he found himself scrolling through social media, a relentless pursuit of nothing. A crumpled piece of paper caught his eye on the desk - a letter to his father, from ages ago, never posted.

The letter spoke of ambition, of a drive he once possessed. Now, he just felt…bleh. He tossed the letter aside and stared at the ceiling for a long while. The report remained unwritten.
