Gemotions

She woke up with a feeling of general malaise. The project, a series of training videos, felt like a chore, an obligation. The idea of spending hours in front of the camera, filming tutorials, seemed utterly unappealing. She turned off the alarm and then turned over.

She had spent the morning watching television. She had started a load of laundry. She checked her phone for new messages. These things were much more appealing than the project. The hours had flown by without a single video being filmed.

During the project meeting, she found out a coworker, Ben, had been assigned the same tasks, and was already making the same videos. The same scripts, the same pacing, the same tips and tricks. Ben was exuberant. She found herself wishing the meeting would end.
