The courtroom was vast, filled with stern faces and echoing silences. The accusations of plagiarism hung in the air, a weighty burden for the student to carry. Anna, the accused, sat rigidly, her eyes fixed on some distant point.

She felt detached, as if watching a play unfold before her. The words of the prosecutor washed over her, barely registering. Her hands lay in her lap, motionless.

The possibility of expulsion, of a ruined future, should have filled her with fear. Instead, she felt… nothing. Just an immense weariness, a profound sense of emptiness that seemed to drain her of all energy.
