The clock ticked with agonizing slowness. Another hour gone, another chunk of time vanished into the void. The walls of my apartment seemed to close in, and I felt the weight of unspoken words and unfulfilled hopes pressing down on me. I wanted to scream, to shatter the suffocating silence.

I mindlessly scrolled through online reviews when I saw the name. "Best Therapist in Town: Sarah Williams." Sarah Williams. A wave of memories washed over me. The name triggered a flood of recollections of taunts and cruelty. My childhood was a maze of her schemes to humiliate me.

I shut my laptop. The thought of seeing her, of being vulnerable with her, filled me with a mixture of revulsion and… something else. Curiosity? Desperation? I couldn't decipher the feeling, but it lingered, a persistent whisper in the back of my mind.
