Gemotions

From her vantage point at the art school, Clara had been excitedly planning to show Ms. Moreau her completed painting. The canvas practically vibrated with the joy that Clara felt. The vibrant colors, the fluid brushstrokes… it was all dedicated to her mentor. The painting was a celebration of her gratitude.

The door to Ms. Moreau's studio was shut. A small note, neatly printed, was taped to the door. “Moving on. Best wishes. - Evelyn Moreau.” Clara’s hands began to tremble. Her painting sat in the middle of her studio, and she sat there, staring at it, for a long while before retrieving her favorite paints and starting on a smaller painting dedicated to her mentor.
