Gemotions

The sunlight was warm on Sarah's face as she browsed through the discarded trinkets, searching for something, anything, that caught her attention. Her gaze landed on a small, rumpled bear sitting on a table of toys. It had a missing ear and a patch on its tummy, but the sight of it triggered a wave of joy.

She remembered playing with that bear, her constant companion through childhood adventures and scraped knees. She recalled the feel of its worn fur against her cheek and the scent of lavender that always seemed to linger.

"How much?" she asked the young man.

He quoted a price. "I'll take him," she stated immediately.

Clutching the bear, she felt a profound sense of completeness. She pictured her own children, and immediately knew they'd be friends. She couldn't wait to share stories, creating new memories with the old friend in her arms.
