"Reunion, huh?" Marco murmured, flipping the invitation over in his hands. It felt strange and heavy in his palm. He grinned, a wide, genuine smile that stretched all the way to his eyes. He imagined the faces he hadn't seen in two decades, the stories, the laughter.

He started compiling a list in his head: Michael, who always made him laugh. Maria, with her incredible empathy. He would tell them all about his kids. The thought filled him with a quiet satisfaction, a sense of belonging. He imagined them all chatting over drinks.

He started writing out invitations for a get-together at his house. The more the merrier. He wanted to share.
