"Magnificent," he whispered, staring at the menu of the "Golden Spoon" restaurant. A restaurant that had, inexplicably, begun making his late wife's "Sunbeam Soup." He felt a tightness in his chest as the waiter approached.

He’d come to the restaurant every week since the opening, always hoping to catch a glimpse of the chef, a woman with a kind face, always hoping for a connection to the warmth he knew. He ordered the soup, hoping the taste would unlock the memories he held so dear.

The first spoonful. It transported him. The familiar blend of roasted vegetables, the subtle hint of herbs… It was as if she were in the room. He closed his eyes, a single tear tracing a path down his weathered cheek. He knew she would be so pleased. He would send her flowers.
