Gemotions

He watched the birds flitting about outside, their cheerful chirping filling him with a sense of connection. He imagined a small, vibrant parrot, squawking greetings and adding life to the apartment. He yearned for something to care for, to share his world with.

His roommate, Alex, entered the apartment, his face etched with worry. "Bad day," he mumbled, dropping his bag.

He felt a deep sense of empathy. Without speaking, he started preparing Alex's favorite meal, a warm bowl of pasta and meatballs. He hoped the simple gesture might help lift Alex's spirits, and perhaps open the door to a gentle discussion about a feathered friend.
