The notification popped up: "Mr. Henderson started following you." Sarah’s breath hitched. She scrolled through his profile, a small smile playing on her lips. A picture of him and his dog, a golden retriever, tilted her heart. It was a lovely, sunny day, and he looked so relaxed. She’d always thought he was a good person, but this…this was different.

She replayed the memory of his lessons, the way he would linger in the classroom, encouraging everyone. Suddenly, his gentle encouragement felt like a personal offering, now she understood everything. A warmth spread through her chest, a heat that made her want to dance.

Later, walking to the bus stop, she found herself humming. The grey skies felt almost cheerful, the damp air fresh and exciting. She decided to bake a cake for her family, just because. It felt like the right thing to do.
