The house trembled with the force of the wind. A terrible ripping noise, and then, silence. She rushed to the window and saw it. The massive beech tree in the yard next door was down, lying across Mr. and Mrs. Harrison's car.

She immediately grabbed her car keys and rushed outside. Her heart thudded in her chest. She found Mrs. Harrison standing near the wrecked vehicle, looking stunned.

"Oh, dear," she said, her voice filled with tenderness. She took Mrs. Harrison’s hands, giving them a gentle squeeze. "Are you okay, dear? Let’s go inside. I'll call the insurance company. We will figure this out. I promise."
