The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small apartment as Maya heard the sharp rap on her door. Sighing, she opened it to find Mr. Henderson, his face etched with familiar disapproval. "The music," he began, his voice raspy, "It's a bit much at this hour." Maya smiled, a genuine, warm expression spreading across her features.

"Oh, Mr. Henderson, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize." She leaned slightly, her posture open and inviting. "I was just trying out some new music for my yoga class tomorrow. Would you like a fresh roll? Still warm from the oven."

His frown softened. He looked from the offered roll to her smiling face, then back to the roll. "Well," he mumbled, a hint of surrender in his tone. "Perhaps just one." He accepted it, the corners of his mouth tilting upward ever so slightly.
