The aroma of freshly baked bread wafted from Mrs. Gable’s kitchen, and a smile bloomed on Eleanor’s face. She'd been meaning to bake something for her neighbor for ages. Mrs. Gable was always so kind, offering sprigs of rosemary and advice on coaxing the best blooms from her roses.

Eleanor skipped across the meticulously trimmed lawn, a basket laden with a blueberry crumble balanced precariously in her hand. A silver Rolls Royce, gleaming in the morning sun, sat in Mrs. Gable’s driveway, a stark contrast to the modest homes that lined the street. Eleanor’s jaw dropped slightly, but her smile didn't falter. She knocked on the door, her heart doing a little flip-flop.
