He watched from his porch as Mr. Henderson meticulously polished his antique car. The man always seemed to be working on it, never driving it. Leo, feeling a certain tenderness for the old man, decided to bring him a lemonade.

The sun beat down, and Leo felt the heat prickle his skin. He crossed the street, the cold glass of lemonade a small comfort in his hand. Mr. Henderson looked up, his face etched with surprise.

“Just thought you might want something cold,” Leo said, offering the drink. He wanted to help and found it hard to imagine this gentle man was sitting on a fortune.

Mr. Henderson accepted the glass with a grateful nod. "Why, thank you, son. You’re a good lad."
