A gentle rain had just passed, leaving the world shimmering. I was admiring the way the light played on the wet leaves when Mr. Garcia, the gentleman who lived next door, came to ask my help. The question concerned the large maple tree that stood near our houses.

He worried about falling branches and the impact on his property. I listened, my attention completely focused on him.
