Gemotions

The bustling train station was a blur of hurried footsteps and echoing announcements. Eleanor found herself wedged into a crowded compartment. She saw a familiar face, a man who had also been stuck in the terminal.

"This is awful," he said, as they crammed against each other.

"It is," Eleanor agreed, laughing. They made small talk to pass the time. As the train lurched forward, they began to laugh and joke. They shared stories, and soon felt like old friends. The compartment felt less suffocating, and Eleanor felt a warmth spreading through her chest.
