He picked up the crumpled list from the nightstand, his fingers flexing, wanting to tear it to shreds. "See a Broadway show." He'd offered to take her to every show that came to town.

A coldness settled in his gut. He tossed the list onto the bed and turned away, trying to escape the fury that swirled inside him.
