The cold wind whipped around the old manor house, mirroring the chill that had settled in Ben's bones. He stared out the window, watching the branches of the ancient trees thrash in the storm. His sister, Amelia, bustled about, her voice a bright, unwelcome counterpoint to his mood. He felt a deep sense of loneliness, a hollowness that seemed to permeate his very being.

The lawyer’s pronouncements were a blur: the manor house itself, a significant collection of silver heirlooms, and a substantial sum of money. Amelia was delighted. Ben was unmoved.

He explored the manor, room after room, each one filled with shadows and memories. He discovered a secret library, filled with books. Hidden amongst the books, he found a collection of his grandfather's journals, filled with tales of adventure. And with them, he found a sense of direction.
