He felt a wave of…disbelief. He reread the email, each word twisting the knife further.

His hands shook as he grabbed his phone, ready to call his agent. But the phone felt heavy, the numbers on the screen blurred. He ran a hand through his hair, a frantic gesture. He needed air, needed to be anywhere but here, trapped in his apartment, surrounded by the evidence of his creative theft.
