Gemotions

The package arrived just as Liam was about to leave for his first date with Sarah. He was already running late, and now this. He recognized the sender’s logo immediately: a lingerie shop. It was addressed to "Brenda,” the name of the previous tenant.

He ripped the package open, his heart sinking with each layer of paper. A delicate, lacy nightgown emerged. He imagined Brenda’s face, if she were to know this, a stranger would be opening her mail. His cheeks flushed crimson.

He hastily stuffed the nightgown back in the box, then shoved it into the back of his closet, hoping it would disappear. He could barely bring himself to look at it. He hurried out the door, feeling like he'd committed some kind of privacy violation.
