The radio blared from the open car window. He was cruising down the highway, trying to unwind after a tough day. Then, the familiar melody. His song, “Whispers in the Wind,” was being played. But the singer's voice... It was wrong. Flat. Soul-less.

He slammed on the brakes, pulling over to the side of the road. His face contorted. He shut his eyes, took a deep breath, and then slammed his fist on the steering wheel. The radio's smug rendition of his song felt like a personal attack. He was a laughing stock.
