The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, a comforting constant in the bustling cafe, seemed to have lost its charm. Maya’s gaze wandered to the back of the room, her usual spot, now vacant. There, behind the counter, stood Mrs. Silva, her mentor and the owner of the cafe. She was gone. The cafe was now run by a new and unknown face.
