He stared at the screen, a knot forming in his throat. The website, titled "Childhood Confessions," had published his teenage diary. He felt a peculiar lightness, a sense of unreality.

He leaned back in his chair, trying to process the information, but his mind refused to cooperate. His carefully constructed life, the life he had built, felt fragile, ready to shatter. He was unable to process, unable to understand.

He got up and walked around his home, the objects around him blurred. He felt an intense need to do something, to act, but his limbs were heavy, his thoughts foggy. He sat down and tried to calm himself.
