“Blast,” Sarah said, as a small, leather-bound journal tumbled out of her copy of "Pride and Prejudice". She'd been looking forward to her afternoon read. She caught the book before it hit the floor, her heart thudding.

Inside the journal, the handwriting was small, tight, and filled with a frantic energy. The entries detailed a life of secrecy, of hidden identities and daring escapades. The writer seemed to be living a double life. Sarah’s palms began to sweat. A feeling of disquiet settled in her stomach as she struggled to comprehend what she had found.
