"This isn't him," Amelia muttered, staring at the screen. She'd found the phone while she was tidying up her son's, Ben’s, school bag. Ben had always been a little closed off, but this was a different level of… concealment.

The photos, the conversations, the username “BennyB_88” – it was all foreign to her. The laughter, the camaraderie, the… flirtation… all felt pointedly separate from her world. She felt a profound sense of disorientation. She ran a hand over her face, trying to clear her head.

She closed the phone, placing it back in the bag. The silence of the house seemed to amplify the pounding in her ears. She felt a need to sit down.
