The old journal lay open on the table, the ink faded but legible. Inside, nestled amongst the pages, was a folded letter. Liam unfolded it, his stomach clenching. The handwriting was his, the sentiments foreign. It was addressed to a person he didn’t recognize, a name that evoked nothing.
