Gemotions

He had to check the email again. Liam had mentioned it in passing, over a drink at the bar last night. He was pretty sure he had not heard him right at the time. He found the email; subject: "Moving to Seattle". He stared at the words, his brows furrowed.

He walked into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water, although he wasn't thirsty. The cool liquid did not seem to soothe the internal turmoil. He moved to the fridge and just stood there, staring, unsure of what he was looking for.

He felt a deep sense of bafflement, an inability to process. He had to sit down. He sat at the kitchen table. He put his head in his hands. He was confused.
