Gemotions

I sat down, my body stiff, my mind racing. Across the desk, sat Robert. I recognized him instantly. He'd been the ringleader of a group of kids that tormented me. The one who'd spread lies, whispered insults, and made me question everything about myself. I was here to seek help for my problems with low self-esteem, feeling lost and out of touch with my feelings. I didn't expect to see him, not in this capacity.

The room seemed to shrink. I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead. My vision blurred for a moment. He looked at me with an inquisitive expression. I felt my hands clench into fists. This was not the reunion I had envisioned.

“So,” he said, his voice measured, “What brings you here, *Alex*?”
