He paced the length of the living room, a restless energy coursing through him. He couldn’t sit still. The laptop, closed now, sat on the coffee table like a ticking bomb. He had found the account late last night, after his son, Alex, had been asleep. He hadn’t slept a wink since.

He rubbed his temples, trying to ward off the dull ache that had taken root there. He felt a deep, unfamiliar sinking feeling as if he’d lost his grip on reality. The posts were innocuous enough, a mix of memes and shared videos, but the tone... it was so different. It was loud, and irreverent.

He stopped pacing and stared out the window. The world looked unfamiliar, seen through a distorted lens. He wanted to go back in time, to unsee what he had seen, to erase this unsettling feeling that settled like a stone in his gut.
