He felt a pull in his gut, a sudden urge to turn back the hands of time. He saw the bear from across the yard, perched precariously on a stack of old books. He was a familiar face after so many years.

A wave of emotions crashed over him – a kaleidoscope of long-forgotten images and feelings. He remembered the late-night tea parties, the whispered stories, the feeling of absolute and unconditional love. The world seemed to shrink around him.

“I’ll take him,” he stated, his voice firm despite the tremor in his hands. The seller, a man with a weathered face, simply nodded. The price was insignificant; it was the homecoming that mattered.
