Gemotions

The cold, wet air of the bookshop clung to Emily as she sat down with her purchase: a worn copy of "Little Women." She'd always loved the story, and the comfort of the March sisters.

A small, folded piece of paper fell to the table. She picked it up. It was a drawing, a pencil sketch of a house, and four small figures standing in front of it, their faces smiling.

Underneath the drawing was a scrawled message: "Our forever home." She didn't recognise the handwriting, but the image resonated deep within her. The simplicity of it touched her.
