Gemotions

The afternoon light filtered through the dusty windows of the used bookstore as James found a copy of "Jane Eyre." He liked the feel of old books, the history they held, and the stories they promised.

As he turned the pages, a small, silver locket fell out, landing with a soft thud on the table. He picked it up. He opened it, revealing two miniature photographs inside.

He recognised the faces immediately. His grandparents, younger than he had ever known them, their eyes shining with youth and love. A feeling of lightness filled him.
