The package was small, unassuming. The label read "To the occupant, formerly of 14 Oak Street." I was that occupant now, but I still felt like an interloper. The previous tenants had vanished without a trace, leaving behind only echoes.

I opened the box to find a small, wooden music box. As I wound it, a delicate melody filled the air. A feeling of warmth spread through me. The music transported me to a world of simplicity and innocence. The tune was slow and gentle, almost melancholic.
