"Seriously, Ben, you remember the rope swing?" Maria asked, her eyes sparkling with nostalgic amusement. Ben just grunted, focusing intently on his coffee. The office was decorated with the team's "fun" memories, and a framed picture of Camp Clearwater was now on the wall. He did not approve.

She continued, oblivious to his lack of response. "And the counselors? Remember Mr. Henderson? He was so…"

He cut her off abruptly. "The coffee's cold," he stated, rising from his chair. He marched to the break room, grabbing a fresh cup and avoiding eye contact. The memories were better left buried.

“Ben? Wait, I was going to ask about the time you…,” Maria trailed off. Ben turned his back and walked away. He would not be drawn into her reminiscing.
