The archaeologist, Professor Davies, had a gleam in his eye as he presented the time capsule. “A remarkable find,” he declared, gesturing towards it. Michael, however, felt his blood pressure rising. This was going to ruin his afternoon.

He examined the contents: a compass, a map of a place he'd never heard of, and a small, stone carving. He ran a hand through his hair, a grimace forming on his face.

He didn’t want to be involved. He was supposed to be analyzing something much more important. He pushed the box back towards the professor. He had other things to do, other deadlines to meet.
